Rome 1947. He has been involved in ecological issues since 1985, with a specific focus on technologies that increase efficiency in the use of resources reducing waste and environmental pollution. Along with the CRF manager for thermo-technical services, engineer Mario Palazzetti, and physicist Tullio Regge, in 1988 he founded the Committee for the rational use of energy. In 2007 he promoted the constitution of the Pro de-growth Movement, which aims to contribute in implementing the principles of bio-economy theorised by Nicholas Geogescu-Roegen, combining them with the ideas that led Aurelio Peccei to found the Club of Rome and with the reflections of Ivan Illich. On these issues, which explore a wide range of topics from ecological economics to technology and philosophy, he has published several books.
